Coming to Sevenoaks AT 9a.m. Saturday 16th April 2016

The organisers of Weald St Georges 10k are delighted to welcome The 401 Challenge to Sevenoaks.  This will be Ben Smith's 229th consecutive daily marathon, toward a total of 401, raising awareness and £250,000 for two anti-bullying charities.

Come and join Ben, cheer him on, and better still, run with him for a stage of his run, up to a whole marathon, on the day.

Locations and timings for the event

(subject to change - please keep checking here)

 

09:00  401 Challenge and supporters leave Sevenoaks Leisure Centre TN13 1LW and run up Sevenoaks High Street, entering Knole Park at the main entrance.

Timings are approximate from this point

09:30  Ben runs a 1.1 mile Fun Run circuit of Knole House for supporters, parents and kids.  (Knole Park is closed to vehicles until 10:00am, so participants and supporters will have to get to the house, on foot.)

09:40  Run continues in Knole Park, before heading out of the south end of the park at the intersection of Chestnut Walk and Broad Walk, towards Hildenborough.

10:45  Arrive at Kelly Holmes' Cafe 1809, TN11 9HW to pick up more runners for a 5 mile circuit, returning to Cafe 1809.

12:15  Run stops for lunch and refreshments at Cafe 1809.

13:00  Run commences run towards Tonbridge Castle and onwards to Haysden Country Park

13:30  Run arrives at Tonbridge Pool, en route to start of Tonbridge Parkrun route , collects more runners

14:00  Arrive Haysden Country Park TN11 9BB, starting a 6 mile there and back run.

15:30  From Haysden Country Park, run last stage back to Cafe 1809, Hildenborough.

16:15  Arrive at Cafe 1809, runners requiring return to Sevenoaks shuttled back.

 

 

FAQs

What is the car parking cost for the day?  

The cost at Sevenoaks Leisure Centre is £4.80.  As the run ends in Hildenborough, runners will be shuttled back to the start.

I want to run, but I'm not sure how far I can go.

Run as far as you want and let one of our run leaders, wearing 401 shirts know, and we will arrange for you to be picked up and returned to where you started.
